Mica Plate is a naturally occurring stone that refers to a class of minerals that includes pure silica. This mineral can be found most often in gypsum wallboard composites. It acts as a wadding and prevents cracking there. It is used in paintings as a pigment extender and to soften the tone of coloured pigments.
